Lee Donner

Lee Donner, 66, from Omaha, Nebraska and long-term resident of Rockford, Illinois passed away on March 30, 2026. Born on April 7, 1959, Lee proudly graduated from Guilford High School and devoted much of his career to supporting our nations infrastructure and success through diligently grinding in the trucking industry as a driver, where he worked until his retirement.

Lee is survived by his loving son Brandon (Brittany), his daughter Shawna, his devoted parents, Dick and Jan Donner, his sister Rene (Terry) Maurer and 6 grandchildren. 

He is also survived by extended family members including aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Lee was known for his strong work ethic, deep care for those he was loyal to, his love for fishing, the Minnesota Vikings and, especially his personality, which was full of a unique collection of quips, phrases and grumblings, Diggit. He fought through challenge after challenge and, in the midst of them, chose to sacrifice, serve and give to others. He was a great example of how impactful a humble, loving person can be. He touched the lives of many and his memory and will be cherished by family and friends alike.

A memorial gathering will be held at a later date for family and community to gather in remembrance of Lee’s life and legacy.
